Practice contractions with these fun and engaging printable games, which come in a set of 5, to help students develop their reading skills, spelling and their knowledge and understanding of how contracted words are formed. There are over 40 different contractions represented in the games, many of which children will be familiar with saying and reading, but maybe lack the understanding of how these are presented and the punctuation used.
Some of the games are aimed at two players or more, however, there are some opportunities for individual practice amongst them. The games included are:

A more traditional move around the board game, identifying words and their matching contractions
Contraction factory to identify which combinations of words make up contractions
Match the basketballs to the hoops, which can also be used as a classic memory pairs game
Contraction dominoes, matching words and their contractions.
